West Shore Medical Center cares for women of all ages and stages

Holding up the hands of the nurturer becomes possible this season through a year-end gift to the West Shore Healthcare Foundation.

Foundation Executive Director Rachel Brooks said West Shore Medical Center continues to strengthen its services for women of all ages and stages in the community.

“We offer support for women in every season of life,” she said. “Support for Women’s Health Services this holiday season will help keep the women of our community healthy by supporting the hospital’s commitment to offering the latest in preventive medicine, screenings, diagnostics, and treatment.”

Hospital services for women include the Maternal and Newborn unit; technology to detect cancer, osteoporosis, and other conditions affecting women; surgical care for a variety of conditions; and rehabilitation expertise to help women get back to doing what they love.

Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor Gina Hodges, RT(R)(M)(CT), a mammographer and radiologic technologist, said she daily works with women who may be struggling with pain and fear.

“It’s a privilege to work in a hospital that is committed to providing state-of-the-art technology for our patients,” she said. “I am grateful to West Shore Healthcare Foundation’s donors for helping make that possible.”
