Thomas Judd Center Hosts Free Movie for World AIDS Day
11.25.2019

In honor of World AIDS Day, Munson Medical Center’s Thomas Judd Care Center is hosting a free screening of the new romantic comedy “Last Christmas” followed by a Q & A with the Thomas Judd Care Center staff.

The film begins at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, at the Cherry Blossom Theater. World AIDS Day is Dec. 1.

“World AIDS Day is observed every year for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for those living with HIV, and to remember those who have passed,” said Heidi Lovy, community health specialist  at Thomas Judd Care Center. “The film screening in observance of this important day is a great way to bring the community together, enjoy a film, and have a thought-provoking dialogue afterward.”

The Thomas Judd Care Center, located at 5041 N. Royal Drive, Suite 1 in Traverse City, began in 1994 with a vision to meet care needs for patients with HIV and AIDS. The center offers medical case management, mental health counseling, free HIV testing, and more.

Movie tickets and concession vouchers for a complimentary beverage and popcorn can be picked up the night of the event at the theater’s main doors beginning at 6 p.m. The theater is located at 3825 Marketplace Circle in Traverse City.
