No matter where you travel this summer, maintaining data security is always important. Here are helpful tips while travelling:
- Not working during your time off? Don’t travel with a work device (like a laptop); use a personal device instead.
- Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth signals when you are not using them. Avoid connecting to free, public Wi-Fi spots like the ones available in bars, cafes, resorts, and hotel lobbies.
- Munson restricts access from other countries. If you think you’ll need to access Storefront, VPN, email, or OneDrive, you should tether/connect through your personal mobile device/hotspot to use its high-speed international data. (Check with your mobile service provider about any additional costs required when tethering.)
- You can also submit a CSAR for temporarily allowing the specific region(s) in which you are traveling. Be prepared to indicate the location you are travelling to and how long you’ll be there.
- If you lose a Munson-issued device at any time, you are required to contact the Help Desk by calling 231-935-6053 immediately.
- To remove access for lost devices via the web: If you have access to Munson email on your phone, go to your Microsoft account and select “Devices.” Then expand the device list and click “Disable lost device.”
