Free community seminar focuses on preventing coronary artery disease

So does our heart.
Kalkaska Memorial Health Center will offer the free community seminar “Treat Your Heart Like a Cadillac” from 6 - 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Dr. William Kitti Education Center, 419 S. Coral St. in Kalkaska. February is heart health month.
Coronary artery disease affects millions of Americans and is usually caused by a buildup of plaque in arterial walls. It can lead to chest pain, heart attack, or sudden death.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Manager Marianne Ewald, R.N., will share information with participants about risk factors for coronary artery disease, goal setting, maintaining an exercise program, and managing diet and portion size.
