Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club Meets Wednesday, Nov. 9

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will learn about “Stroke Risk Factors and Prevention Strategies” at the 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster Road in Traverse City.

Munson Medical Center stroke unit nurse Vicky Zimmerman, B.S.N., R.N., C.M.S.R.N., will share information about risk factors that include health conditions, behaviors and family history and ways to lower one’s susceptibility to a stroke.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The stroke club offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with one another through speakers, demonstrations, and group discussions.
