Get active, fit, and sculpted through class offerings

Stay fit and active this winter through group fitness classes at West Shore Health Connection.

The fitness center offers a wide range of group classes to help keep the body warmed up and active during the cold weather months. Exercise specialists will lead 19 classes designed to meet the needs of a wide range of ages and abilities.

The fully-equipped facility includes an aerobic circuit, weight room, stretching area, and locker rooms with showers. A variety of membership and payment options are available. The gym is currently open seven days a week.

The following classes, free with Health Connection membership, will be offered through March 28:

  • 3,2,1: 3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of strength training, and 1 minute abs.

  • BAT (Butt, Abs, Thighs): Toning workout to achieve a lean lower body and tight abs.

  • Cardio Kickboxing: Increase heart rate with kickboxing moves.

  • Core Plus: 30 minutes focused on toning abs, plus other areas.

  • Creative Cardio: Each week the format and equipment used will be changed to increase calorie burn and work for one’s total body.

  • Fit Intervals: Intervals of cardio and strength.

  • Flexibility: A 45-minute session of full body stretching.

  • Kettle Bell: Increased cardio and strength using kettle bells.

  • Kickbox Strength: Kickboxing moves with strength training.

  • Not Just Abs: 30 minutes of toning your abs and more.

  • Pi-Yo: Fusion of Pilates, yoga, strength training and flexibility; an up-tempo approach to mind/body exercise

  • Slowrobics: Slow movements and seated exercises to improve strength, endurance, and balance.

  • Step Aerobics:  Choreographed step aerobics to increase endurance.

  • Step & Sculpt:  Intervals of choreographed step aerobics and strength training.

  • TRX Intervals: Suspension training – a different way to exercise. Improve strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability with intervals of cardio.

  • Waist & Above:  Strengthen core and upper body.

  • Yoga: Increase flexibility, balance, and core strength.

  • Yoga & Stretch: 45 minutes of full body stretching with some yoga influences.

  • Zumba: Increase cardiovascular endurance with Latin and international inspired rhythms.
