NMDI’s Mission

The Northern Michigan Diabetes Initiative is a regional collaboration dedicated to prevention, early detection, and management of diabetes.

NMDI’s Vision

Reducing the prevalence of diabetes and improving the well-being of people living with diabetes across our region.

Community Reports

Every five years, NMDI conducts a region-wide survey of 1,000 adult respondents ages 18 years and older. The purpose of this research is to learn more about the prevalence of diabetes and risk factors in our unique region. The survey also helps us identify gaps in diabetes care and public knowledge in order to guide and inform future initiative efforts.
