Advanced Neurology Care in Northern Michigan
Patients with neurological disorders in northern Michigan have access to board-certified neurologists based in Traverse City and Manistee who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system impairments.
The nervous system consists of all the nerves in your body that regulate and coordinate your body’s activities. It has two parts:
-
The central nervous system – the brain and spinal cord
-
Peripheral nervous system – the eyes, ears, skin and all sensory receptors, muscles and peripheral nerves
Neurologists provide advanced care for nervous system issues ranging from chronic headaches to conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and stroke.
Neurologists and neurosurgeons work with primary care providers and other medical professionals to develop a customized treatment plan for illnesses, disorders, and injuries that involve the nervous system.
A Team Approach to Care
In addition to neurologists and neurosurgeons, Munson Healthcare’s interdisciplinary team includes professionals who specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapy, neuropsychology, and radiology.
