Hospital and Neonatal Intensive Care for Infants and Children

Hospital care is available for infants and children at Munson Healthcare hospitals in Charlevoix, Gaylord, Grayling, and Traverse City. Newborn and neonatal services are available at Cadillac Hospital. Munson Healthcare hospitals partner with DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich., and C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor, Mich. for advanced pediatric care, such as pediatric surgery.

Munson Medical Center also has a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – the only NICU north of Grand Rapids, Mich. The NICU is staffed by board-certified neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and specially-trained neonatal nurses to care for our littlest patients. 

Visiting pediatric heart and cancer specialists hold clinics in Cadillac and Traverse City for consultations and follow-up care for children who need advanced services.
