NICU STEPS Support Group

NICU STEPS (Support through Education and Parent Sharing) is a group of parent volunteers who offer support for parents during and after their NICU experience. This innovative, free program offers parents who have or have had a baby in the NICU a chance to meet and share with other parents to make the experience a little easier. The group is a resource for:

  • Answers to questions

  • Educational topics

  • Emotional support

  • Helpful tips for NICU

  • Ideas for coping

  • Parent-to-parent matching

  • Shared experiences

Chaplain and Chapel

Your pastor, priest, rabbi, or spiritual leader is welcome to visit at any time, but must be accompanied by a parent. If you or your family would like to speak with Munson Medical Center’s chaplain, she may be reached at 231-935-7163, or from a hospital courtesy phone at 5-7163. We have provided quiet space for prayer and reflection near the NICU. Staff can provide directions to the chapel. Visitors of all faiths are welcome. The chapel is always open.
