Munson Healthcare Administrative Fellowship
Munson Healthcare (MHC) leadership is excited to announce a new post-graduate 2024 Administrative Fellowship for recent graduates of health administration graduate programs.
The program is intended to provide participants with hands-on leadership experience in an environment that will help them become well-rounded, community-focused leaders.
This program will prepare Administrative Fellows for a successful career in healthcare administration.
Program Structure
1-year program
Participants will work with Laura Glenn, Chief Operating Officer, Munson Healthcare.
Program Components
- Meaningful project work – Manage and lead projects in partnership with preceptors and health system leaders. Projects will be identified based on health system priorities and the Administrative Fellow’s interests
- Broad exposure to many areas of healthcare – Rotations through departments and clinical sites across the system, which may include: Community hospital, critical access hospital, primary care practice, specialty practice, nursing, government relations, continuous improvement, and more. Administrative Fellows will also attend and be active participants at key health system leadership meetings.
- Networking – Opportunities to network and develop professional contacts across the health system and the northern Michigan communities served by MHC.
- Community engagement – As the major health system in northern Michigan, engaging and remaining active in the communities we serve is an important part of our mission. MHC’s Administrative Fellowship program will provide opportunities to become engaged in Traverse City and other northern Michigan communities.
- Mentoring and feedback – Regular one-on-one time with preceptors and other mentors, informal feedback on an ongoing basis, and formal 360-review feedback.

Preceptor
Laura Glenn
Laura Glenn joined Munson Healthcare in 2017 and served as Vice President of the Munson Healthcare Physician Network, and then President of Ambulatory Services and Value-based Care, prior to her current role.
She is responsible for integration of the employed and aligned physician practices across the MHC System, the development of MHC’s clinical service lines, as well as the advancement of population health strategies including the Munson Healthcare Clinical Integration Network and other value-based payment models.
Prior to Munson Healthcare, Glenn was the Senior Vice President & Executive Director of Beaumont Health Physician Partners. Laura completed her Masters of Health Services Administration at the University of Michigan.
Eligibility
Qualified applicants must have received a master’s degree in health care administration or a related field from an accredited program prior to July 2023.
