Electives

Electives are available if you are from an LCME accredited medical school. Requests for electives scheduled between July 1-June 30 will be accepted beginning May 1. Electives are offered in four-week blocks with a maximum of eight-weeks within the Munson Healthcare system.

Requests for an audition rotations (typically August – January) will be accepted beginning January 1 due to the challenging nature of housing in Traverse City. Unfortunately we do not provide housing for auditioning students. The slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. The rotations are offered in four-week blocks aligning to our residency calendar with the exception of two two-week slots around our fall resident development week. There are no more than four students on this rotation at any one time. These rotations are reserved for students sincerely planning to apply to our program.
