21st Century Cures Act Resource Center
General Information
The 21st Century Cures Act is a federal mandate which promotes the provision of electronic patient data as efficiently as possible.
The goal of the Cures Act is to ensure patients and others receive information faster and more efficiently. It prohibits interfering with access, exchange, or use of health information unless an exception applies.
Certain data elements of a patient’s medical record are required to be made available for electronic transfer. A full list of those data elements can be found here: US Core Data for Interoperability Standard
Munson Healthcare will comply with the 21st Century Cures Act mandate and will leverage our various Patient Portals to allow patients immediate access to their health information as mandated.
