How to Schedule Outpatient Radiology Testing

To schedule outpatient radiology testing at all Munson Heathcare hospitals — except Manistee Hospital — please follow the process below. For Interventional Radiology testing, scroll down.

Walk-in X-rays and Scheduled Radiology Exams

  1. Fax order to 231-935-3473. 

    • Exception: Munson Provider Network (MPN) offices can skip this step as we can pull the patient's order from Oracle Health.

  2. Prior Authorization (if required by insurance) is required at the time of scheduling.

    • Please fax this with the order or write the authorization number on the order.

  3. CTs Only: A GFR is required within 30 days prior to CT if patient meets ANY of the following risk factors:

    • ≥60 years of age (60+)

    • Diabetes

    • Hypertension requirement medical therapy

    • History of renal disease, including dialysis, kidney transplant, single kidney, renal cancer, renal surgery

      Note: For CT patients requiring a GFR, CT can NOT be scheduled until AFTER we have received the GFR results.

  4. Schedule Exam: Unless your office is setup for online scheduling, either the patient can call to schedule their imaging, or your office can call to schedule when the patient is in the office. Radiology Scheduling can be reached at 1-800-968-9292, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm.

Same Day Testing/Add-Ons: Same-day testing and add-ons following the same process. After faxing the order, please call before the patient leaves your office!

Interventional Radiology (IR)

  • Munson Medical Center: Fax order and documents to 231-935-2862. Although IR will call your patient to schedule, IR can also be reached at 231-935-2861.

  • MHC Otsego Memorial Hospital: Fax order and documents to 231-213-8713. Although IR will call your patient to schedule, IR can also be reached at 989-731-7749.
